Horizontale Fräsarbeiten

Im Gegensatz zu vertikalen Bearbeitungszentren sind bei horizontalen Fräsmaschinen die Spindel und das Werkstück horizontal angeordnet. Diese Anordnung erfordert eine robustere Tragkonstruktion, was zu einer höheren Steifigkeit und Stabilität führt – daher eignen sich horizontale Bearbeitungszentren ideal für Schwerbearbeitungen.

● Optimize Pocket Depths: To ensure accuracy and avoid tool deflection, limit pocket depths to a maximum of four times the tool’s diameter. Deeper pockets require specialized tools and processes, impacting time and cost.

● Design Internal Corners with Radii: Always include a radius in internal corners. A good rule of thumb is a radius ≥ 1/3 of the cavity depth, with a minimum radius of 0.5 mm. This allows the use of standard end mills and prevents tool breakage.

● Chamfer Sharp External Edges: Incorporate 45° chamfers (minimum 0.3 mm) on all external vertical edges. This simplifies deburring, enhances part safety, and improves aesthetic quality.
